The two year (four semester) Post Graduate Diploma in Garment Manufacturing Technology programme, develops in the students the ability required to make intelligent business like decisions with prudence.


It imparts to the students the temperament to gain technical prowess through advanced work study and education methodology adopted using classroom, laboratory and workshop simulation of situations faced in business administration and industry management.

The students at NIIFT learn engineering, concepts and techniques of production besides getting a deeper insight into data processing, economics, textiles, business communication, Marketing, Merchandising and International Trade with State of the art equipment and machinery fairs, like Gartex India, Knitworld, important seminars, fashion shows and a six weeks internship programme conducted in prestigious industries through out the country.

Students get a chance to relate theory to actual industrial environment in practice and get a first hand exposure to all operations in various departments of the apparel manufacturing system and network.

The GMT post graduate can opt for challenging jobs in many highly paid management positions in the apparel industry.
